SYFY wanted a creative team to Produce a short animated video that revolves around the horrifying, misunderstood, other-worldly, and even majestic creatures that span the genre universe in a way cleverly brings the SYFY logo to life.
So FATCAT creative team gathered and started the brainstorming. Basically we decided that it would be cool to present Syfy logo in a fun and mysterious way, that will not only give the audience “Goosebumps” but also intrigue them which will leave them wanting to know more!
Here’s where it gets juicy, the story is about a couple (Steve and Palm) whose fast asleep and its midnight. The room is pitch black and suddenly, the bed starts to shake and it sounds like there’s something that is crawling into the room, Steve wakes up from a deep sleep with eyes that aren’t fully open and he can’t realize what is exactly going on and suddenly something scary approaching the bed and towering over it. We see a creature called Snakipede casting over Steve, he opens his eyes and sees this big scary creature monster as it represents his deepest scariest nightmares. He gets so scared, but he isn’t sure if it is a dream or real life. He tries to reach out for his girlfriend but she isn’t here she is gone; he is more scared now (did this creature monster eat his girlfriend?) he feels like this is the end so he screams hopelessly very loud as it is his last moment. Out of a sudden the door opens and smash the monster, his girlfriend (Palm) was actually in the bathroom and she comes after she heard Steve’s scream, she opens the door and ask Steve innocently if he is alright!

we won this project in two different areas which was the idea for the story and the 2D animation creation of the video itself and we in FATCAT were so glad to be working on this given project and put our creative work out there in the amazing syfy creature feature animated logo.
